Dress + Pants
Happy day, Reader Dearest!
I’m playing catch-up.
(Aren’t we all?)

November’s Copycat Style post!
I decided to play with the Dress-over-Pants look I wrote about earlier this month and will take the featured image from that post as my inspo! These are three VERY different D-o-P looks, so let’s see where they take me…
What elements bind these looks?
That’s a simple one. Dress + Pants. Long flowing locks. (I’m out of luck there.)
What elements do I prefer from each?
Give me jeans for under my dress, please. I like the shorter length dress of the outfit on the right and the heels of the combo on the left. Is there anything I like about the middle? Yes, the sheer flow and drape are loooooovely.
What do I not want?
Sneakers. Although, none of these outfits are shown paired with sneakers, they regularly feature in dress-over-pant looks. I’ll skip the coat (Even if that waist detailing rocks!), the length of the dress in the middle (I don’t own a maxi, let alone a maxi shirtdress.), and the dark body focus of the outfit on the right.
What do I own to work with?
Dress. Jeans. (Note: This pair has been hemmed.) That’s a pretty simple start!
How did it turn out?
I’m happy! It’s more boho than my usual looks, but some days are like that. I’m not sure I’d wear this combo on the regular, but it felt perfect for Thanksgiving. The silk dress feels special and the jeans keep it grounded and comfortable.
Lots of silver sparkle, nude peep toe pumps and a taupe hobo–worn short and crossbody to the rear.
If YOU are ready to try the Dress over Pants look, here are 5 Tips to help you rock it!
How About You?
Does dress-over-pants/jeans appeal to you? Why or why not? (That’s a question I ask a LOT, because the unexamined wardrobe creates frustration!) What new combination have you tried this month? It’s good to keep trying new things… It helps keep our style from growing stale. If you haven’t tried something new, it’s not too late. There are still six days left in November! Your new could be a new Outfit Recipe, a new color combination or a new Beauty Bundle grouping. What’s your new? Tell me, do! I love to hear from you…
Reminder: This will be the last of the bi-weekly posts for a bit. Your weekly post will publish on Saturdays; I look forward to seeing you again next week! XO
