Copycat Style: September 2023
Green Trousers + Purple Top
Happy day, Dear Reader!

I hope your week has been less pollen-filled than mine!
There are not enough allergy eye drops…
On the happy side:
I’ve been living with my Fall 10X10 which means that the pieces for this month’s Copycat Style post had tp be part of my 10!
Good thing I had already decided to copycat one of the looks that inspired my Fall Capsule…
If you are new here, Welcome! Otherwise, Welcome back! I’m so tickled that you’ve chosen to spend some of your time with me.
Who am I? I’m Liz Klebba, an internationally certified Image, Wardrobe & Color Consultant. My mission is to make the world a more lovely place, one outfit at a time… Shallow? I think not. The world can use more beauty. Please shine yours!

Back to your regularly scheduled blog post!
What’s the inpiration for September’s Copycat Style, you ask?

What elements bind the three looks?
Green, Purple, Rust, Color Blocking
What elements do I prefer from each?
ALL the color! Wowza! More practically, I love the nude and animal print shoes from the first and last outfits. And the flower brooch, because, I’m still crushing on Flower Brooches.
What do I not want?
I’ll pass on the volume of the center look. Nor do I want a coat or wrap. (It’s still WAY too warm here in Georgia for that kind of foolishness.)
What do I own to work with?
I have my new (From my F/W French 5) green trousers, and a purple linen shirt. My shirt is a much warmer grape juicy purple. I’ve been looking for a more royal purple blouse for a few years, but it just isn’t showing up for me. Patience will win out… Eventually! The nude flats are my most worn shoe from last year. I wore the soles through and bought a replacement pair when they went on clearance.

How did it turn out?
I like it! The rich colors feel like fall, even if our temperatures aren’t playing along. That’s exactly what I need from my fall wardrobe!

I bet you’ll notice that I’m not wearing the flats. Nope. It was too hot that day for closed shoes and my day didn’t require them, so I swapped out for these block heeled sandals. This is how the the power of Thinking in 3’s helps build a versatile wardrobe. Having multiple nude shoes means that I can suit the occasion/weather/situation without changing my whole outfit!
I’m also missing all the cool glasses/sunnies these ladies are wearing. What was I thinking?
How About YOU?
What are you thinking about for fall (or spring) style? Have you seen any looks lately that you are inspired to copycat? Where do you you for inspiration? What do you notice when you find inspiration? Is it the Outfit Recipe? The colorplay? The overall look? Do tell… I’d love to hear what’s inpiring you! And how you are making it work. XO
Stylishly yours,
