Dress Edit-The Saga

My Dirty Little Wardrobe Secret All-In-One

Happy day, Reader Dearest!

As I mentioned on 1 August, I’m blogging green this month, taking a break and recycling and recombining content. Think of it as a month of replays!

Who knows? You might see something you’d previously missed.

Or you might be in a new place and see something old with new eyes. (I know that happens to me ALL the time!)

Our theme for August is Wardrobing–For me that means thinking about the big picture: Shopping, Editing, Deciding on Your Must-Haves and Your Rules. Not styling per se, but more about how your wardrobe is working for you and the life you lead.

Today, I’m sharing my dress overstock embarrassment and how I’m going about cleaning it up!

It all started here…

You can read more about it here!

Want to know more about Levels of Refinement?

Oversharing? Possibly. But if I can learn from my mistake or you can take something positive away, it’s all worth it!

Stylishly yours,

Great videos. You are entertaining and REAL. What grade level did you teach? Love your animation, energy and fun expressions.

I am not a party person. When I get an invitation to one, I probably make the exact face you made when you suggested that some of us might not like parties!! I have several dressy dresses – leftovers from my daughters’ weddings, rehearsal dinners, etc. I haven’t parted with them because I am always afraid I will get roped into going somewhere that will require such a dress. But I do like your suggestion of having one for colder weather and one for warmer weather. If I could free up some space in my closet.

I have a lot of older dresses, too. They all still fit and they are paid for(!!) so I hang on to them. But have few occasions for really wearing nice dresses other than tee shirt dresses. Need to drag my behind back into my closet for a long hard look.

Hi, Leslie! I taught K-8 in the classroom and my own sons K-12. (It makes you super flexible!) Unless you live a jet-setty lifestyle, one warm weather and one colder weather party dress should do. I expect that where you live, they’d be very similar, unlike if you resided in Minnesota. (THAT requires very different parameters.) Let me know when you drag your behind back into your closet! 😉

Hi Liz, some feedback for future videos, for some reason this video the sound is sooooo quiet. I have all the speakers on full and it is very quiet. Rgds Lise
