Independence Day Style
5 Looks for the 4th!

Happy day, reader dear!
Over the weekend, I shared an old post on FB to encourage people not to run out and buy another disposable holiday tee this year. In that same vein, I thought it smart to pop into my closet and see what outfits I could pull together for the 4th.
Note: I took some color liberties here… (#sorrynotsorry) and used pink instead of red in most of the outfits. Red isn’t in my summer capsule, and pink is a tint of red. So there. It’s good enough!
Clearly, the heat is making me feisty. Sorry. I have a new appreciation of why assault rates increase during hot weather…

I like a white shirt, but yours might be a tee, or a buttonup. Don’t worry duplicating a look; think of it as a springboard to your own version!

I don’t usually wear a scarf in my hair, but the red polka dot one might make me give it a whirl! It has a modern and retro vibe all at the same time…

This shorts and top combo was what I was wearing the day I found those shoes at the consignment store… They had never been worn! How could I resist the perfect match? You might think it too hot for sleeves, but this blouse is very loose and flowy. Great air circulation… The hat keeps the sun off heads, necks, and shoulders!

Why not a LWD for the day?If you forget your blanket to sit on the grass, just open up your jean jacket and make yourself comfortable!

I know… A jacket with shorts and heels is a bit out there for most, but this would be perfect for an al fresco brunch to celebrate the day! Hmmm. I wonder if I can find a weekday brunch somewhere…
If you need still more options, here’s even more 4th of July style! Enjoy your holiday. Stay cool. Stay safe. And have fun!
Stylishly yours,
