Plans and Regrouping
Thank You for Understanding
Hello, reader dearest,
I’m struggling for the Happy day! If you’ve been hanging around Closet Play the past few months, you’ve heard me mention Mama and her health adventures here and there. Well, it looks like she needs quite a bit more attention in the next month or so. My plan? To handle that and let things here slide.
I’ll be transparent with you. This is a hard choice to make. Creating content that provides you value and hearing from you when it does is rewarding. So is keeping my sanity so that I can be present and care for my family. That needs to come first.
The plan for the moment? Two posts a week. A regular post on Tuesday and a Style/Restyle post on Saturdays. But plans are notoriously troublesome.
No plan survives first contact with the enemy.
Helmuth von Moltke (Paraphrased)
AND
Plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.
Dwight David Eisenhower
So, I’ll make my plan. And G-d will laugh. And we will keep doing the best we can with what we have, right where we are. And evaluating and re-evaluating as we go.
Thank you for understanding. I’ll keep you posted.
Stylishly yours,

I am so sorry that your mama is need of such care. But I completely understand. My phone is never more than an arm’s length away for when we get another call about my mom’s declining health. In between phone calls, I find it increasingly harder to concentrate on anything other than anticipating what’s coming next. I hope you can make some precious memories with your mother, and still check in here now and then. You are making the right decision. And we will be holding you up in prayer and good thoughts.

Thank you, Leslie. She’s doing better after her procedure and is starting to get stronger. I am thankful our family is nearby and supportive. Thank you for your prayers. You and your mama are in mine!

Hi, Liz – You’re making the right choice. I wish I had taken (the forbidden) leave of absence when my mother was dying, even if they fired me. Take good care of yourself as well as your mom. Wishing you all the best – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

Oh, Angie! I am sorry you found yourself in that position. I imagine you felt trapped and angry. How brutal. Thank you for your good wishes and the encouragement; we can use all the goodness we can get.
Lise

Thanks for the update. Prioritizing your sanity and caring for your mom makes complete sense, Liz. Do whatever you need as long as you need and don’t worry about the rest! Best wishes to you and your mom.

Take as much of a break as you need! Family always, always comes first. If two posts a week get to be a burden, just cut loose for a while. We’ve all got you bookmarked and we’ll find you once you’re back!

Thank you for your kind, words, Lydia! I am thankful for lovely readers like you!
