Travel Style Planning with Maria

Happy day, reader dear!

Hope yours is a good one! Mine is looking up after a computer crisis yesterday. Saturday is a regular workday for me (since many clients can’t meet M-F) and I was unable to get on my computer most of the morning. That meant regrouping for today’s post. And feeling blessed because…

A few weeks ago, Maria Novajosky, writer, blogger, travel group leader, and hostess extraordinaire (Have a cappuccino if she offers!) invited me to help her with a Travel Style Planning session. Maria is taking a 13 day trip to Italy with a group of ladies in September, and as she expressed it wanted to “up her style game.”She writes about a variety of topics at her blog La Dolce Vita: the sweet life with three sons. (Common ground!) Maria asked to blog about her experience, and so today I share with you her perspective on our session!

Maria took oodles of pictures, mostly of outfits, but she got some of me at work, too! Silly!

And just in case you wanted to see the whole plan…

On Maria’s version, each item that she doesn’t already own has a shopping link!

Lest you think she has nothing to carry her wallet, passport, and water bottle in, the looks she creates here will be accompanied by her cognac colored crossbody or backpack, whichever suits the day best! (There was just no more room on the visual!)

It was a privilege and a pleasure helping Maria with her plan, and we can tweak it as her departure date gets closer and the weather predictions become more accurate. How do you travel? With a plan? Or do you prefer to chuck some outfits in a suitcase and hope for the best? Do let me know in the comments below… (I’m trying to sort out the comment issues, and need to know if I have succeeded!)

Stylishly yours,

I always pack with a plan! I use a two neutral wardrobe (ivory & navy) with two accent colors (turquoise & coral). I like planning for traveling with two tops per bottom. That’s always a dressy top and a more casual top per bottom. In the summer I pack with three tops per bottom. One dressy and two casual per bottom.
