Packing Debrief

Happy day, Reader Dearest!

Yes, I am safely back from our wedding adventures in New Jersey!

We had a wonderful time.

My suitcase traveled the whole way with me! No diversions or side trips.

Hallelujah.

Time hanging out with friends and family was long overdue.

And FABLULOUS!

New Jersey Italian food makes me happy.

I could eat Eggplant Parmigiana every day.

For breakfast, lunch or dinner.

And did for a few days, at least!

Now that I’m back, let’s debrief that pack…

What I Packed

In case you didn’t read the previous post…

Along with my travel outfit of Levi’s 501’s, a grey blouse, snake print booties and my winter coat. You’ll see them below! Also, the outfit for the wedding.

What I Wore

Everything but one neckerchief that I threw in at the last minute. That’s a great pack!

Travel Day To

Thursday

Errands, Lunch, Hanging Out, Wedding Stuff, Walk

Friday Day

Errands, Airport Run, Lunch with My Guys, Hanging Out, Wedding Stuff

Friday Evening

Dinner Out with Friends and Fam (Awesome when they are both!)

The temps were dropping wildly, so the winter coat topped Friday night’s ensemble.

Saturday Day

Mall Trip

To buy a replacement for my not-packed Spanx… I still don’t know how that happened. They were there with my wedding shoes! Until they weren’t. I’m pretty sure I wore jeans, my floral shirt and my snake booties with my winter coat. Yes, my selfie game this trip was nonexistent.

Saturday Afternoon

Aufruf at Shul

I wore dark blue sheer hose that are currently in the laundry with this. Sorry, no image! And my winter coat. BRRRRR!

Saturday Night

Meet and Greet Reception (At the hotel-no coat necessary!)

Sunday Morning

Church & Breakfast

We’ll skip the sleeping-off-Saturday-night outfit…

Sunday Afternoon/Evening

The WEDDING!

The dress IRL.

Yes, I DID find Spanx Saturday morning…

Travel Day Home

Luggage made it AGAIN! (Extra surprising since I had a super tight connection after rolling to standby for an earlier flight out.)

How About You?

Are you looking forward to any trips this year? For adventures? Or family time? Both? Where are you going? How will you travel? Plane? Train? Automobile? Do you pack carry-on or check baggage? Do you follow a packing plan or throw it all in a bag and hope for the best? Do tell! I love to hear from you and we’re all here to learn from each other…

Stylishly yours,

Looks like a great time! Love your dress for the wedding too!

My travels usually take me a few hours car ride or a couple hours plane ride north from Atlanta to visit our kids and grands. My next trip will be by plane for a Sprinkle for my daughter in mid March! I almost always pack a carry on bag but it can be hard because the weather in NY will be much colder. I’ve been thinking my gray cashmere cardigan might be the most useful layering piece under a longer coat that I only wear occasionally at home. I do try to layout my outfits so I don’t have to think about what I’m going to wear after I arrive and to make sure I don’t forget anything (usually).

I do enjoy your newsletter and IG.

Thank you, Melissa for your kind words! I had to look up “Sprinkle.” What a great name for a mini-baby shower! Somehow I did not realize that you were in/near Atlanta. Wishing you safe travels and fabulous packing for your coming adventure… It sounds like you have a solid plan!

Liz, You commented I believe last post or the one before that you think it’s time for another staycation. I can’t wait to see that wardrobe!!

I need to get my spring wardrobe planned before jumping into another Staycation… But stay tuned for that, too! Maybe over the summer. Time to start researching more Staycation destinations!
